First: Acquiring Egyptian Citizenship
Acquiring Egyptian Citizenship is one of the important services provided by our office(OQ for Legal Services) نDue to the increased demand for acquiring Egyptian nationality in recent years, the Egyptian Nationality Law No. 26 of 1957, as amended by Law No. 154 of 2004, has defined three reasons for acquiring Egyptian nationality, which are:
First: Birth to a father or mother holding Egyptian nationality.
Second: Through marriage.
Third: Naturalization.
Secondly: Residency of Foreigners in Egypt
According to Law No. 89 of 1960 regarding the entry and residency of foreigners in the territory of the Arab Republic of Egypt, there are three types of residencies, and we will explain them:
- اSpecial Residency: This type of residency is valid for 10 years, renewable, and is granted to foreigners born in Egypt before May 26, 1952, or those who have been residents in Egypt for 20 years before this date, as well as to their wives or minor children.
- Regular Residency: This type of residency is valid for 5 years, renewable, and is granted to foreigners who have been residents in Egypt for 15 consecutive years before May 26, 1952. Their minor children can also apply for this type of residency. They are allowed to leave Egypt for up to 6 months, with a maximum absence period of 2 years, except for cases of compulsory military service or studying abroad.
- اTemporary Residency: This type of residency has multiple forms, including the five-year residency, the three-year residency, temporary residency for non-tourism purposes, and temporary residency for tourism purposes.
